Born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, into a family of doctors, Dr. Barakaev grew up surrounded by strong medical traditions. His father, Professor Abdusalom Barakaev, was an internationally recognized gastroenterologist; his mother worked as a general physician. Today, his sister is a gynecologist in Moscow, and his brother is a urologist in Istanbul — connections that strengthen his professional network across key medical‑tourism destinations.

Dr. Barakaev graduated with honors from the Tajik State Medical University, earning his degree as a general surgeon. During his postgraduate studies, he spent three years working in emergency and intensive care units, actively assisting in surgeries under the guidance of a leading surgeon who is now one of Tajikistan’s top professors. Although he later transitioned from clinical practice to organizational and managerial roles, this hands‑on hospital experience allows him to deeply understand patients’ medical needs and the realities of treatment.

For more than 12 years, Dr. Barakaev has specialized in medical tourism. While working in New Delhi, India, as a director in the pharmaceutical sector, he helped over 100 patients arrange treatment in India and personally accompanied more than 30 of them. He has also supported patients traveling to Turkey for medical care. Having lived and studied in Iran (where his father worked as a physician) and frequently visited Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan, he has gained firsthand insight into healthcare systems and logistics across all major regions where he operates.

In addition to his medical education, Dr. Barakaev has practical experience in finance, logistics, sales and marketing, human‑resource management, transportation logistics, procurement, and administration — skills essential for organizing safe, transparent, and cost‑effective medical travel. He is fluent in Tajik, Russian, English, and Persian, and speaks conversational Hindi, enabling him to communicate directly with patients, doctors, and partners and to provide accurate translation of medical information.
